Welcome to the South Central Region of Fred Astaire Dance Studio’s new web page.  I want to personally apologize for the delay in getting this going, but here goes.

As part of our region, you are part of the most successful region in the history of Fred Astaire Dance Studios which was founded by the great Mr. Astaire himself in 1947.

We pride ourselves in providing first and foremost an opportunity for our students to participate in the wonderful world of dance whether their needs be for social, competitiveness, and the many health benefits we know dancing can bring. 

For you the staff member, we provide you the opportunity to achieve the greatness that you have inside you.  Look around you today and you will see 18 studios owned and operated by Licensees who at one time, just like you, were teachers.

In addition, we have had national dance champions achieve all of their desires to be great dancers and we have placed three of our very own on the prestigious Fred Astaire Dance Council.  All of this, while offering opportunities to travel to some of the coolest and most exotic places in the world.

This website will be dedicated to helping us communicate better so that we may all achieve our goals.   All of you can call on me anytime you want at my office (205) 979 - 5600 or my cell phone (205) 999 - 8973 and through this website you will have the ability to communicate with me directly as all correspondence will immediately be sent to me.

I’m kind of an old dog with a young heart, but I have been a bit slow in moving into the computer age, but I’m dancing as fast as I can now.  With that in mind, we know some of you may have ideas of how we can do this better and we look forward to hearing from you.

Our guru for all of this is our very own Steve Conaway, a future Licensee himself, who works and trains out of our Memphis location.  Fortunately for all of us, Steve is a night owl who somehow lives on only two hours of sleep a night.
